Folks in Seoul sure do like their screens. We’ve never seen so many people texting, online, or otherwise engaged with their phones while walking, driving their scooter, eating lunch with friends, on the metro, etc…

Samsung seems to dominate (no great surprise), though LG must be lurking inside many phone-wallets. Sorry Apple.

Seoul appears to have universal free wifi, everywhere, including the underground. You even get cell service underground.

At tourist sites, selfie-sticks are a menace, uniquitous like dandelions in spring. Be it a temple, war memorial, or giant Gangnam Style sculpture, no place seems too sacred for the selfie, and its close cousins the BFF-selfie, Group-selfie, and Love Bird-selfie. Many are non-Koreans, to be fair, especially Chinese and Japanese.

Despite mobile market saturation, there are still a lot of phone booths around. Go figure. Maybe we can get the whole family in one for a selfie…
