Still processing this. Jingwansa Temple lives with her women monks on a mountain on the outskirts of Seoul.

Tranquility works it’s way into the heart, calms the mind, gazes serenely back.
Tea is served at the temple, all of it traditional, botanical, and medicinal.
Stepping into the tea house.
The red iced tea (Omija tea, made from the fruit of the schisandra plant) had a refreshing, strong citrus vibe, with an almost alcoholic zing. The darker brews (jujube tea on top, and ssanghwa tea on the right) tasted like nothing we’d ever had before. Deep, rich, “muddy”, sweet, earthy. With nuts and perhaps some fermented ingredients. Both with distinct restorative health properties.
