He’s a motorcycle delivery driver in Seoul.

I never fully recognized the versatility of this vehicle until now. They weave amongst traffic, till the congestion is too tight or the light turns red, when they can morph into “pedestrian mode,” and take advantage of the crosswalk or sidewalk.

Need to haul LP gas canisters? No problem. Eggs, or a mountain of cardboard? Got it. Need to text while driving and smoking a cigarette? Child’s play. Hauling rakes, shovels and a sawed up tree limbs? Two wheels are all you need. Sleepy? Take a nap on your bike. Going the wrong direction with a load of construction supplies on your modified Daelim flatbed trike thingie? Pull a Uturn. In the middle of fast moving traffic. One handed. Holding your phone to your ear.

With the right rack system, and sometimes a third wheel, nothing is off limits. You just need nerves of steel and a very good sense of how wide that gap is between the bus and the concrete pillar.
